Awarding the collector’s banknote dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the birth of King Carol I, manufactured by the National Bank of Romania Printing Works, as the “Commemorative banknote of the year 2024”, by The International Banknote Society – IBNS Ukrainian Chapter – “Best commemorative banknote 2024”
On March 21, 2025, took place at the headquarters of the National Bank of Romania, the official award ceremony for the “Best commemorative banknote of the year 2024” awarded by the International Banknote Society – IBNS Ukrainian Chapter, following a survey conducted among lovers of collector banknotes from around the world, to the aforementioned banknote, designed by specialists of the NBR and entirely produced by the NBR Printing Works.
The special diploma was presented by the Regional Director of IBNS, to the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Academician Mugur Constantin Isărescu, in the presence of Mr. Cristian Popa, member of the NBR Board of Directors and Chairman of the Commission for the analysis of the Annual Numismatic Program, the Chief Cashier of the NBR and the General Director of the NBR Printing Works.
The event was publicly marked by a thematic exhibition and speeches by Mr. Cristian Popa – Member of the NBR Board of Directors, Mr. Serhiy Trushyn – Regional Director International Banknote Society (IBNS) and Mrs. Georgeta Rădulescu – General Director of the NBR Printing House – Speeches on the occasion of the event.
